Super Mileage Car
The Super Mileage Team with the Car
Our team’s goal is to attain 1000 mpg. We are using a heavily modified 2 hp Briggs and Stratton Engine with a Continuosly Variable Transmission. My area of work is the transmission. We hope to automate the transmission utilizing a microcontroller to select the optimum gear ratio (giving us the greatest possible fuel economy) We also plan to implement a fuel injection system on the engine.
In June we will travel to Michigan and compete in the SAE intercollegiate Super Mileage Competition.
